The Village Builder plays a key role in managing communication, and coordination with volunteers, youth participants, workshop facilitators, and other collaborators involved in programming and events. Working closely with the Bridge Building Architect and the Social Impact Coordinator, the Village Builder ensures accurate tracking and organization of contact information, availability, and areas of interest for each stakeholder across programs. Youth Program Chairs (ages 13–25) ensure that ideas and feedback from youth are actively integrated into program planning and decision-making, meeting weekly with the leadership team to support both program-wide and individual needs.
The Program Chair oversees the Youth Lead Chair and Youth Program Chair, providing supervision, guidance, and mentorship throughout their term. This individual is a trained and/or licensed mental health professional and may also offer programmatic advice as needed.

In collaboration with fellow board members and organizational leadership, Board Members provide governance-level oversight, contribute to strategic direction, and support the organization’s impact and growth. This role requires a commitment of time, preparation, and active engagement. Board Members are expected to lead with integrity, cultural humility, and accountability while honoring appropriate boundaries between governance and management.
The Board President / Chair serves as the primary governance leader of the Board of Directors and is responsible for supporting the Board in fulfilling its fiduciary, strategic, and oversight responsibilities. The President works in close partnership with the Founder and Executive Director to ensure the organization’s mission, values, and strategic priorities are advanced responsibly and sustainably. This role requires a meaningful time commitment, strong governance experience, and the ability to lead with clarity, cultural humility, and accountability. The President acts as a steward of the organization’s financial health, board effectiveness, and long-term vision while respecting appropriate boundaries between governance and management.
The Board Vice President / Vice Chair supports the Board President/Chair in fulfilling the Board’s governance responsibilities and helps ensure continuity, effectiveness, and shared leadership within the Board of Directors. The Vice President serves as a strategic partner to the President/Chair and is prepared to assume the duties of the President/Chair when needed. This role is well-suited for a board member with strong leadership capacity, sound judgment, and a commitment to collaborative governance. The Vice President plays a key role in strengthening board engagement, supporting committee work, and advancing the Board’s collective effectiveness.
The Board Secretary supports the Board President/Chair in ensuring the effective functioning of the Board of Directors. The Secretary serves as a key governance partner responsible for maintaining accurate records, supporting compliant board operations, and preserving organizational information. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of nonprofit governance. The Secretary acts as a resource to the Board by clarifying past decisions, confirming governance requirements, and ensuring board documentation is accurate, accessible, and aligned with legal and organizational standards.
Reporting to the Board President / Chair, the Board Treasurer is responsible for leading the Board’s financial oversight and supporting the organization’s fiscal health and sustainability. The Treasurer works in close partnership with the Board, Founder and Executive Director, and finance-related staff or contractors to ensure transparent, accurate, and timely financial governance. This role requires financial literacy within a nonprofit context, a commitment to stewardship rather than control, and the ability to translate financial information into a shared understanding for the Board.

This role is designed for emerging leaders seeking to understand board responsibilities, organizational strategy, and the operations of a mission-driven nonprofit.
